Step toward fulfillment, alignment & impact

Step into the reVision Lab.

Here it’s okay to be unsure of what’s next…

It’s okay to get messy and try out new ideas.

And it’s okay to want a change.

To honor your needs.

To bring attention to your strengths rather than any perceived shortcomings.

To hear that inner voice that knows you have a unique difference to make in a troubled world.

This group program is an opportunity to gain clarity on your desired professional future and to start taking strategic and meaningful action toward it.

To do all that in the context of a supportive community of women & non-binary folks who care as much as you do about making our world more just, compassionate, and sustainable.

This isn’t just about banging out a few great job applicationsthough that may be part of it.

This isn’t just about figuring out your next stepthough that’s definitely part of it!

This is a space to align your life’s work with your passions and purpose, so that you’ll be on a path toward fulfillment and authentic impact for decades to come.

Realize Change’s New Year, New Vision Circle, January 2021

Working with Sarah helped me get clear on my goals by tapping into my creativity and exploring what I really wanted out of life and a career. I'm taking away a renewed sense of purpose and clarity around my goals and vision for living a fulfilling and happy life.

— Nikki N.

Is this program for you?

This program is for people who are starting to seriously contemplate making a change in their work lives.

It’s for smart, creative, purpose-driven women and non-binary individuals who are thinking about doing any of the following over the course of the next year or two:

  • looking for a new job

  • changing or pivoting careers

  • returning to the workplace

  • starting a business or social venture

  • pursuing their creative passions more

  • growing in their leadership

  • getting more involved in civic, social, or political change

The reVision Lab could be a great fit for you if one or more of these statements ring true:

  • You feel somewhat stifled or stuck, like you’re not using your full talent and potential, but you’re not quite sure how to break out of the box you’re currently in.

  • You care deeply about what’s going on in your community, city, country, and the larger world around you. You’re often distressed when you see the news, but feel overwhelmed and unsure what to do about it.

  • You do meaningful work that you believe in but still feel like your life and work are out of alignment.

  • You want to build on your professional successes up to this point and bring more of your most authentic, most powerful, most alive self into what you do.

  • You sometimes think about your legacy, and the impact you most want to make in the time that you have.

  • You’re tired of molding yourself to the expectations of others, and ready to start saying YES to the voice inside of YOU.

This program is for you if you enjoy connecting with others on a similar journey and offering mutual listening, affirmation, and support.

This program may not be for you if you would prefer to move completely at your own pace and keep the focus on your individual path. Please get in touch and we can talk about one-to-one coaching support.

How it works

The reVision Lab consists of group learning sessions and community support, as well as private career coaching and an exclusive curriculum.

  • GROUP LEARNING: Join other purpose-driven women and non-binary folks for an intentional, relational experience to approach your work transition on three levels:

    • Beneath the Surface: do the soul-searching necessary to move forward with clarity and confidence in pursuing your next chapter and beyond

    • Unleash Your Power: explore and own your strengths, passions, and purpose so you can bring your most impactful self to the table — while being realistic about what you need from a new opportunity

    • Make a Splash: get out there and start making connections! This looks different depending on your goals but may include networking, job applications, visibility, or project planning

You’ll be doing all this with the support of a community of peers who get it. People who will see you in your strength and potential, hold your vision with you, and celebrate your wins. People you’ll feel comfortable reaching out to when you hit a snag.

Cohort size will be no more than 12 people so that participants can get to know each other and contribute to the conversation.

This is a space to draw inspiration in community — to be seen for what you offer the world as you step into the next stretch of your journey.

  • HOME LEARNING: You’ll receive a set of home learning materials that clearly and powerfully walk you through the introspection you need to do.

What do you want? What do you NOT want? What would your desired career look like, at the intersection of your passions and purpose, strengths and needs? What are your options, and which are most worthwhile to pursue?

You’ll dig into questions like these through the reflection exercises provided.

Check out the curriculum overview below for more information.

  • COACHING: To deepen this transformative journey, you’ll receive individual coaching with Sarah, founder of Realize Change. This includes:

    • 3 private coaching sessions

    • Each session is one hour long and takes place virtually over video call

    • Coaching sessions are tailored to what’s most important and alive for you — balancing structure and spontaneity

    • Resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn page review, if applicable

    • Email support for your questions and updates in between sessions

    • Discounts on webinars, workshops, and other opportunities that take place during your coaching term

    • Celebration and next steps conversation

This is an opportunity to do the inner and outer work that will enable you to move forward boldly and authentically into your next career chapter — so that you can make a positive difference in the world while feeling fulfilled and aligned.

The three sides of the Realize Change wave:

Beneath the Surface | Cresting | Making a Splash

Sarah guided me intentionally to reflect deeply on blocks I didn't even know I had that were standing in the way of my own success. I felt incredibly safe to explore vulnerable parts of myself with her, and I left each session with a sense of clarity about how to turn the experience of internal exploration into tangible action steps. Having Sarah as my coach was critical for me to get out of my rut of feeling stuck and into a world where I put one foot in front of the other and make progress toward my dreams.

The Realize Change coaching program was such an important experience for me during this very difficult year... While coming in isolated from my community and feeling directionless, the program helped me decipher my purpose and set meaningful goals for my professional and personal life. I came in overwhelmed by the needs of the world and left feeling confident in my path to make a difference. While the work isn't over (and never will be), the coaching and curriculum has given me access to important tools that I will continue to use for the rest of my life.

— SAMMI S.

What you’ll get out of it

My hope and intention is that you will come away with new clarity, energy, insight, and concrete progress toward realizing your most authentic, exciting, and impactful life and work.

Depending on your unique situation and goals, that could mean:

  • Gaining clarity about what kind of job you want next, and making progress toward landing it

  • Getting un-stuck from limiting thoughts and beliefs that have been keeping you from exploring and pursuing your dream career, creative project, side hustle, or leadership role

  • Owning your strengths, passions, power, and potential in a whole new way and putting them out there more

  • Speaking up more boldly from your deep conviction and insight, and making more of an impact on your organization or community

  • Establishing new habits and structures in your life that enable you to live in closer alignment with your values and goals, without burning out

At the start of the program, you will fill out a questionnaire about where you’re at and where you’d like to go. Based on your individual goals, we’ll co-create a plan for the coaching sessions that will help you make the progress you desire.

With coaching support, my clients have recently:

  • Landed new jobs with better work-life balance, mission alignment, and salary increases (some of my clients have gotten a $15K, $30K, or $40K raise!)

  • Secured a promotion and/or switched teams at their organization

  • Spoken up with confidence and taken on new leadership roles at work

  • Cut the cord from a job that was no longer serving them

  • Launched a business

  • Locked in a book deal

  • Developed and run with a podcast concept

  • Published and gained media attention for their original poetry

  • Gotten involved in volunteer activities aligned with their purpose

Meet your facilitator

Hi, I’m Sarah!

My favorite ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip, and my favorite color is purple (more the eggplant variety, less on the magenta side of things).

I’m a mama, a neighbor, a White Ashkenazi Jewish woman who tries to be a good ally to my BIPOC friends and other marginalized communities.

Oh, and I am a coach, facilitator, musician, and entrepreneur who loves to inspire and empower people to create a more just world!

Over the past decade, I have devoted my career to building movements that take bold, strategic, and passionate action in the face of some of the most pressing issues of our time, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the global refugee crisis. I've seen these movements harness remarkable power when they're deeply rooted in who we are — our stories, identities, values, and convictions.

In other words, when we are being our most authentic selves, we make the most substantial impact.

Seeking to do just that, at each intersection in my professional journey I've asked myself a few questions: What does the world need right now? What will I learn a lot from and really enjoy doing? And how can I make the most impact?

These questions have led me to amazing places, like:

  • convening 3,000 people at a pro-diplomacy conference addressed by the late Rep. John Lewis and then-Vice President Joe Biden

  • organizing hundreds of millennials to rally for refugees and to protest the travel ban by publicly telling their family stories of coming to America

  • performing at the Women’s March with SongRise, the women's social justice a cappella group I co-founded

These same questions led me to launch Realize Change in 2018.

What does the world need right now? Empowered, creative, badass women and non-binary folks pursuing their visions for a more just world, with fierce and full hearts.

What will I learn a lot from and really enjoy doing? Opening up space for you to connect with your sense of purpose and make your vision a reality.

And how can I make the most impact? By helping you make your greatest impact.

A recipient of Avodah’s Partners in Justice Award, I am trained in dialogue facilitation, community organizing, adult education, and management. I am an associate certified coach through Presence-Based Coaching and the International Coach Federation.

As a group convener, I’ve been told that I hold space in ways that help people feel seen and safe to bring their whole selves.

When I'm not obsessing over how to pursue a more just world, I enjoy biking, writing original songs, walking around in nature, playing with my kiddos after dinner, and taking time for quiet and creativity.

Sarah is driven by a deep passion for making the world a better place. She has a gift of seeing the light in others and helping them to draw out their unique qualities. In her recent course, we delved deeply into ourselves to identify our passions and callings. I found the experience to be deeply transformative.

Our Commitment to Justice and Inclusivity

Realize Change is committed to being part of what the honorable late Rep. John Lewis called “the Spirit of History.”

Photo by Tony Alvarez, June 2020

What that means to me is:

  1. Being part of bending the arc of history toward justice… toward a world where everyone can meet their basic needs, access opportunity, and realize their potential no matter their race, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, abilities, class, religion, or other facets of their social identity.

  2. Striving pro-actively to build communities, relationships, and spaces where everyone who feels called to be there can access the opportunity, show up as their full selves, and thrive. In particular, I’m committed to ensuring that BIPOC participants feel “in good company” in our group settings, and this commitment informs the recruitment process for the circle.

  3. Nurturing individuals to develop as social justice leaders who bring compassionate, courageous, welcoming spirits to their life’s work, and who catalyze meaningful, strategic, and effective change in a world that desperately needs it.

  4. Standing up and taking action together as the Realize Change community — following the lead of values-aligned partners — to do our part in making systems change.

I believe that developing awareness and taking action for equity is never-ending. If “woke” is the destination, then “waking” is the journey, and we’re all on it, myself included. I welcome conversation and learning with my community so we can grow ever stronger in our pursuit of a more just, sustainable, and compassionate world.

With gratitude,

Sarah
