If you’re a smart, creative woman who has set out to turn your social change vision into a reality, chances are you’re bringing your whole self to your business, organization, or initiative. You deeply care about your community, and want to make the positive impact in the world that is authentically yours to make. You also want to feel fulfilled, connected, and balanced as you build your venture.
I’m right there with you, since launching my purpose-driven venture last year. In my experience, having more freedom and autonomy is awesome, but sometimes it feels like swinging on a trapeze with the net far below. And even the most grounded among us occasionally get caught by imposter syndrome, perfectionism, fear of failure, or even fear of success.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Join other entrepreneurial women who “get it” for an intentional, interactive afternoon to draw strength on 3 levels:
Beneath the Surface: tap into your well of resilience so you can quickly and consistently get yourself back in the zone after those rocky moments of self-doubt
Unleash Your Superpower: explore times when you’ve felt deeply in your element so you can steer a course to come alive in your unique way, over and over again
Make a Splash: envision the impact you’d like to be making in the next 6 months in your venture, and map out what you need to do to get there
You’ll also have a chance to learn about a new professional and personal development cohort for DC-area women changemakers launching this spring called Women Realize Change.
Cost: $18. Proceeds will benefit Empowered Women International, a program of the Latino Economic Development Council. EWI empowers immigrant, refugee, and other marginalized women in the Greater DC area to become economically mobile, financially stable and socially engaged entrepreneurs.
Facilitator: Sarah Beller is a coach, entrepreneur, mama, and musician based in Petworth in Washington, DC. After a decade building movements to address pressing global crises, Sarah recently launched Realize Change to support other women who want to unleash their visions for a better world, while finding fulfillment and balance in their lives. A trained facilitator and coach, Sarah is the co-founder of SongRise, an acclaimed women’s social justice a cappella group, and a recipient of Avodah’s Partners in Justice award.
No matter where you are in starting your venture, having a supportive, thoughtful, intuitive person to guide you through the process and identify issues you're having is really valuable. Sarah helped me recognize my strengths, needs, and fears that were keeping me from achieving my goals.

Sarah is driven by a deep passion for making the world a better place. She has a gift of seeing the light in others and helping them to draw out their unique qualities. In her recent course, we delved deeply into ourselves to identify our passions and callings. I found the experience to be deeply transformative.

Today was a wonderful reminder of why being held and empowered in a space is so important. Whether we’re doing deep and vulnerable work or the tedious, having a sense of belonging and welcoming is essential to sustaining, well, anything.
